Intelligent Leadership Executive Coaching (ILEC), seeks out powerful and innovative leaders to guide top-level executives through trials, tribulations and triumphs. It takes a certain kind of person to mentor corporate heavyweights and aid them in nourishing their leadership abilities. Scott Johnson is one of those people.

Johnson is no stranger to being a leader. He spent more than half of his life in the Coast Guard, reaching officer ranking and holding more than 16 leadership positions. During those years, much of his role was dedicated to supporting and building up those who held positions under him while leading a 25,000 member workforce. Now, Johnson uses that dynamic to help him set up the executives who hire him for success.

“My background in the Coast Guard is deep in leadership. As I rose in the organization, I always wanted to provide opportunities for others,” Johnson said. “I’ve built a strong desire to help people develop. This is about helping people take their careers to the next level, which I'm passionate about. There is no better satisfaction than helping someone achieve their dreams.”

“The franchise model comes with a package that includes the business model itself and the team to support me,” Johnson said. “It made sense for me to enter the business world in this way, with the combo of the team and the model already set up. I love that I could start my own business while still being part of a team.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Scott to the ILEC family and we are confident he will be the perfect owner to satisfy the growing demand for executive coaching in Virgina,” said John Mattone,  Co-founder and CEO.

As he sets out on this venture, Johnson is most excited about the core mission of ILEC: helping grow stronger leaders, which will in turn change the workforce as a whole for the better.

I hope to be able to help the community by helping leaders. Growing leaders is growing companies and growing our next generation. So I hope to have a small impact on how companies run and those up-and-coming leaders right now,” Johnson said.
