IWG Announces 3 New Illinois Locations as Demand for Hybrid Working Continues to Grow

The world’s largest flexible workspace provider announces plans to open a new HQ near the University of Illinois campus and two new Regus centers in suburban markets outside of Chicago and St. Louis.

Growing demand for flexibility and access to professional spaces is underscored by record demand for hybrid working with IWG adding two million customers in the last year, as more and more businesses empower workers to work close to home in the heart of local communities. The new locations include two suburban market Regus centers along with an HQ center located in Champaign, IL, a small city with less than 100,000 residents and home to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.   

IWG will add a new HQ center: 

  • 206 N Randolph St, Champaign, IL (Central Illinois) 

And two Regus centers in the following locations: 

  • 101 W. Vandalia St, Edwardsville, IL (Suburban St. Louis) 
  • 220 E State St, Rockford, IL (Northern Illinois)

As a result, we will see the Great Lease Resignation of traditional office space continue and the growing appeal of shared office and co-working spaces as a much more attractive alternative,” said Dixon. 

IWG’s new Illinois locations reflect the geographic diversity of the state as well as the growing demand for flexible workspaces in smaller communities, including small towns and suburban and exurban areas, over the past several years. The new centers span the northern, central and southern parts of the state. IWG workspaces help drive the growth of a wide range of local communities spanning from the second largest city in Illinois to a small town outside of St. Louis.
