People take their hairstyles very seriously these days, and there are new salons and barbershops popping up every day in order to adhere to everyone&#8217;s high maintenance requests. Hair has taken precedent over anything else when it comes to looking immaculate. You can wear the fanciest shoes or cologne, but if you don&#8217;t have a sharp looking &#8216;do, you may not be taken seriously. </span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style=""><br /></span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style="">Danny Davi is a classically-trained stylist who understands that hair is much more than the mop that sits atop someone's head. He believes that everyone needs a good looking set of hair and he wants to give everyone a sharp look.</span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style=""><br /></span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style="">&#8220;I&#8217;m a stylist and artist first and foremost. I&#8217;m a precision hair cutter, I&#8217;m very technical and I consider myself a perfectionist when it comes to dealing with hair,&#8221; Davi said. &#8220;My medium is people and my art work and canvases walk outside every day.</span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style=""><br /></span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style="">After working in salons for more than 14 years, he began working with <a href="http://ownakennedys.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=kennedys-franchisee-danny-davi-looking-to-corner-greenwich-market-3318" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Kennedy&#8217;s All-American Barber Club</a> as a stylist in late 2012. Davi is the current franchisee of the brand&#8217;s Greenwich, Connecticut store, and he originally didn&#8217;t envision himself coming on board. With the years of expertise under his belt and the thousands of feet of hair he has cut, his original goal was to open his own store. He and his wife formulated a business plan with the prowess of the business experience he accumulated over the years and wanted to open a unique salon, specifically catered to men.</span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style=""><br /></span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style="">&#8220;I had a goal in mind to come to the Greenwich area and wanted to open my own shop dedicated to men,&#8221; Davi said. &#8220;To be quite honest, my wife and I never thought about getting into the franchise industry, but when I started working with <a href="http://kennedysbarberclub.1851franchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=kennedys-franchisee-danny-davi-looking-to-corner-greenwich-market-3318" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Kennedy&#8217;s</a>, I saw they had a similar vision of the business I wanted to own.&#8221;</span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style=""><br /></span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style="">Davi said he loved the business model Kennedy&#8217;s has, and he believed it was a place he could work in order to establish himself as a stylist. The brand&#8217;s apparent love for the communal barbershop atmosphere coupled with his continued love of styling created the perfect storm, and together they fueled him to make the decision to purchase the shop from the previous owner in December 2015.</span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style=""><br /></span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style="">Partaking in business ownership can be a daunting experience for anyone, but Davi said one of the things that made him comfortable about taking on the responsibilities of owning the company was the infrastructure that was already in place.</span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style=""><br /></span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style="">&#8220;A few advantages of ownership were that Kennedy&#8217;s had a support system set up. When you go into business for yourself, you have questions and there are things you don&#8217;t know that you have to learn along the way,&#8221; Davi said. &#8220;With this concept and philosophy of franchising, you can avoid a lot of those problems thanks to the employee portal provided.&#8221;</span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style=""><br /></span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style="">Davi is talking about the brand&#8217;s franchisee online portal that provides informational material about marketing, getting assistance with financial aspects of the job and hiring.</span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style=""><br /></span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style="">In the fast-paced and hard-working area of Greenwich, Davi said residents are looking for a place to get a crisp-looking hairdo and unwind after trading stocks and bonds on Wall Street. Kennedy&#8217;s provides an upscale hair service, complete with shaves and massages that still has that old-school barbershop feel. Just like the barbershops of the previous generation, conversations about sports and what&#8217;s going on in the news are still ever-prevalent at Kennedy&#8217;s locations. Davi said this component, along with the ease of a membership program, are key reasons why business is booming.</span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style=""><br /></span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style="">&#8220;The membership model is great for this wealthy area where people enjoy structure. That adds another element to that (the business),&#8221; Davi said. &#8220;They want a place to belong to like a country club and based on our level of customer service and quality we provide, there are no other barber shops that offer quality and services we have.&#8221;</span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style=""><br /></span></div><div id="pastingspan1"><span style="">Detailed marketing guides on the brand&#8217;s site and membership services aren&#8217;t the only thing that has helped Davi through his first few weeks of being a franchisee. During his time at Kennedy&#8217;s, he has formed close bonds with other people who work with the brand and feels he can come to them with an issues or advice he needs and says he talks frequently with Kennedy&#8217;s CEO and president Jay Hummer about the business. He credits these &#8220;smart and savvy business owners&#8221; for helping him shed light on things.</span></div>
