He takes a similar approach with cheese fondues, embracing classic flavors and putting a creative twist on a typical cheese fondue dish.“For example, I could make a cheeseburger cheese fondue. We pick the cheese base, then we can garnish it with pickles and diced tomatoes. It seems very special. My approach to innovation keeps that excitement around fondue, but making it more approachable and a little more fun communicates that it doesn’t have to be reserved for once a year.”<h3>Maintaining Quality at Every Step</h3>As he explores new flavors, add-ons, drinks and more to add to the menu, Miller is always focused on the ways he can spark excitement for guests while maintaining what’s at the core of the Melting Pot experience, all without overcomplicating operations for the team members.“Keeping variety on the menu fuels innovation and creativity in everything we’re doing, not just the menu and offerings,” he said. “It goes deeper to things the guest will never see, like the equipment and procedures. We’re always looking at ways to become more efficient and more exceptional.”With this in mind, Miller says one of his end goals is for every dish and menu item coming out of the kitchen to be received by the guest as if he were personally there making it. His careful work on the front end ensures that this experience is possible for guests in Melting Pots across the country every night.<h3>Celebrating 50 Years With a Dazzling New Lineup</h3>As the brand approaches its 50th anniversary, Miller is putting the final touches on a new celebratory menu that reflects all of the fun Melting Pot provides its guests. For the golden anniversary, there are hints of shine throughout the courses, including golden chives, 24-karat gold chocolate fondue, golden pecans and golden marshmallows.“[The 50th anniversary menu] is currently in a few select locations for testing right now, but once it’s perfected, it will be available systemwide next fall,” said Miller. “We have a grand reserve anniversary cheese with a base of shallots, garlic and sherry wine, and it’s finished with golden chives. The secret ingredient is a brown sugar bacon crumble, which we make in-house, to mix into the cheese for a little bit of a sweet, smoky crunch.”For the anniversary offering, guests will still be able to choose their favorite salad and entree before proceeding to the dazzling chocolate fondue course. The 24-karat gold chocolate fondue is milk chocolate with cookie butter caramel sauce, golden pecans and a golden marshmallow.
