Michigan Business Network Interviews Hounds Town USA Owners Steve and Nicky Darwin

In a recent interview with Michigan Business Magazine, Hounds Town USA Owners Steve and Nicky Darwin discussed the opening of their new location in Wixom, Michigan.

“We are the home to the happiest dogs on Earth. We're a fully interactive doggy daycare. We do dog and cat boarding, grooming, spa services and we also have a pet taxi service,” said Steve. 

Before deciding to become Hounds Town USA owners, Steve and Nicky had very successful careers. “I had been working in nursing which has changed a lot over the last two years or so,” said Nicky. “I have always loved dogs, as we have five of our own. This seemed like a perfect fit for me.”

Steve, who was divisional CFO of a large publicly-traded company and had been in finance his entire career, became semi-retired before embarking on this journey.

“We've always talked about our dreams. My dream specifically has always been to be a small business owner and create deep ties to the community that we live in,” said Nick. “We finally had the opportunity to look into that.”

“When we moved here we noticed there weren't a lot of places we could go to when we needed to board our dogs. That started the conversation a few years ago,” said Nicky.  “It's a fully-interactive dog daycare. So the dogs get socialization, they get anxiety out, they get exercise and become better pack members, which will help them be a better pack member in your house.” 

Hounds Town USA has everything your dog could ever dream of. In fact, they may not want to leave when you pick them up.
