Fast-casual barbeque franchise <a href="https://www.mightyquinnsfranchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=mighty-quinns-experiences-a-strong-start-to-2019-with-multi-unit-franchise-deal-continues-focus-on-franchise-expansion-2709868" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s</a> has come a long way since it was founded in 2011, and in the first quarter of 2019, the brand met some of its biggest milestones yet. Between signing its first franchise agreement and kicking off its third season as the official BBQ at Yankee Stadium for the 2019 baseball season, the brand is well on its way to increasing its profile and making a mark far beyond its tri-state-area roots. 

Today, <a href="https://1851franchise.com/mightyquinnsbbq/info/index.html" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s</a> has 13 open locations, three of which are located overseas in Dubai, the Philippines and Taiwan. The rest are located throughout New York City, New York&rsquo;s Westchester County and Clifton and Paramus in New Jersey. 

One major win for the New York-based brand was signing <a href="https://1851franchise.com/mightyquinnsbbq/mighty-quinn-s-barbeque-signs-multi-unit-franchisee-ready-to-introduce-authentic-bbq-to-long-island-2708957" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">a three-unit franchise deal</a>, its first domestic franchise deal ever, with brand and barbeque enthusiast Jason Wotman. 

A native of Long Island, Wotman attended college at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and dreamed of bringing authentic barbeque back to his hometown. He later came to know the Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s brand when he lived in New York City. His first franchise with the brand is scheduled to open in late 2019, and all three of his units will be located in Nassau County. 

&ldquo;Obviously growing up on Long Island, barbeque was not really a thing and I can&rsquo;t remember having a good barbeque meal in the area,&rdquo; Wotman said. &ldquo;However, after my experience living in Nashville, barbeque is almost like a sport and a way of life. Everywhere you walk, there is a barbeque joint and they are all delicious. I knew at some point that I wanted to bring that type of barbeque to Long Island.&rdquo;

Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s continued to show major signs of growth in the first quarter of 2019 thanks to a revenue increase across the system. Within the first three months of 2019, the brand had approximately ten percent same-store sales growth. 

&ldquo;From a business perspective, we&rsquo;re seeing strong same-store sales growth,&rdquo; Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s co-founder Micha Magid said. 

The brand also signed a second multi-unit development deal for Queens already this year and is in contract for several other regions Magid said. 

&ldquo;Our franchisees Michael and Paula Dolan are planning to open four locations in the Queens area,&rdquo; Magid said. &ldquo;The first location will likely be in the Queens neighborhood of Long Island City.&rdquo; 

This is also the third season that Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s will be open at Yankee Stadium. &ldquo;We introduced a new sandwich, the MQRib, which will now only be offered at the Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s Yankee Stadium location,&rdquo; said Hugh Mangum, Co-Founder and Pitmaster. 

The brand is also seeing a sales boost thanks to the introduction of a more health-conscious menu item: rice bowls. 

&ldquo;Another innovation on the menu that&rsquo;s been doing very well for us is our rice bowls,&rdquo; Mangum said. &ldquo;We have three custom rice bowls, the Mighty Bowl, which skews on the healthier side with spinach and pumpkin seeds. Then we have the Smokehouse bowl, which has baked beans, pickled chiles and other traditional BBQ flavors. We also have the Mexi-Q bowl, which contains our smoked salsa, corn and related Mexican influenced ingredients. These bowls have definitely helped increased our guest frequency.&rdquo; 

Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s is also getting some very high-profile TV exposure featuring <a href="https://1851franchise.com/mightyquinnsbbq/mighty-quinn-s-barbeque-hosts-exclusive-pitmaster-dinner-and-unveils-new-diner-loyalty-program-2708116" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">&nbsp;Mangum</a>.

&ldquo;Something that&rsquo;s really exciting is that Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s own pitmaster Hugh is a judge on the new Food Network Canada show &lsquo;Fire Masters,&rsquo;&rdquo; said Christos Gourmos, Co-Founder. &ldquo;Being able to offer Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s that national TV presence and support to local franchisees is pretty unique.&rdquo; 

The brand is certainly looking forward to the rest of 2019 and beyond. Magid said that the Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s brand continues to expand the franchise development pipeline and is excited to bring it <a href="https://1851franchise.com/mightyquinnsbbq/mighty-quinn-s-barbeque-sets-sight-on-boston-for-expansion-2707809" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">to new markets</a>. &ldquo;We are very optimistic based on the caliber of franchisees that we&rsquo;ve met and seeing other operators as excited as we are about growing the Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s brand&rdquo;, said Magid.

Gourmos pointed to the in-depth, extensive training Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s provides to new franchisees in the brand&rsquo;s central kitchen in New Jersey. 

&ldquo;New franchisees who have just signed on with the Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s brand spend time learning smoking techniques and everything else that goes into a Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s product,&rdquo; Gourmos said. &ldquo;They also spend time in our restaurants. It&rsquo;s a regimented two to three-week training course. Then we are onsite with them prior to their grand opening and we stay through the grand opening until the restaurant is in a strong place.&rdquo; 

The startup costs for a Mighty Quinn&rsquo;s franchise range from $774,750 to $923,000. The franchise fee is $45,000.
