Coming on the heels of the International Franchise Association’s (IFA) announcement that Dr. Condoleezza Rice would be delivering the keynote speech at the association’s 53rd annual convention, the IFA today announced the hosts of MSNBC’s Morning Joe will also be making speeches at the event. Hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough are known for their off-the-cuff commentary during their morning show, Brzezinski’s Democratic views countered by Scarborough’s Republican beliefs. Both have storied reputations. Brzezinski has been on ABC’s World News This Morning, MSNBC’s Homepage, the CBS Evening News Weekend Edition, CBS Sunday Morning and 60 Minutes before returning to MSNBC to join Morning Joe. Scarborough is best known as the former Florida Congressman and the first Republican to represent the state since 1972. During his political career, he served on many committees including the Judiciary, Armed Services, Government Reform and Oversight, Education and the Workforce and the National Security Committee. Scarborough also founded The Florida Sun, serving as the editor and publisher, before joining MSNBC to host Scarborough Country. Together, Brzezinski and Scarborough promise to bring heat, humor and engaging conversation to the convention which is shaping up to be the must-attend franchise event of 2013.
