The better breakfast concept began in Huntersville, North Carolina, in a small house-turned restaurant where friends Brian Burchill and Robert Maynard opened their first eatery. "Coming back to New York is special to me with roots on Long Island, and my dad, who is a former lieutenant of the FDNY, still lives in Smithtown,&#8221; Maynard, Famous Toastery&#8217;s CEO, said.
