Newsday: Famous Toastery Returns to Long Island Roots
The better breakfast concept is expected to open its doors in Long Island this fall.
Famous Toastery, founded by two Long Islanders, plans to open their first location in Commack this fall between late October and early November.
The better breakfast concept began in Huntersville, North Carolina, in a small house-turned restaurant where friends Brian Burchill and Robert Maynard opened their first eatery.
"Coming back to New York is special to me with roots on Long Island, and my dad, who is a former lieutenant of the FDNY, still lives in Smithtown,” Maynard, Famous Toastery’s CEO, said.
