QSR Magazine: McDonald's New Value Menu Returns Surprising Results

With the menu's tiered prices, guests tend to order more items per visit than they had before its introduction.

Sales continue to rise at McDonald's in 2018. According to a recent article in QSR Magazine, the brand has seen an increase following the introduction of its new tiered value menu. This system has resulted in customers having a tendency to order more items on average per visit.

“More customers are recognizing that we are becoming a better McDonald's, appreciating our great tasting food, fast and friendly service and compelling value as we execute our Velocity Growth Plan," said CEO Steve Easterbrook.

McDonald's also credits a degree of its success to higher menu prices overall. These increases were primarily applied to premium items. Another strong contributor to sales is the brand's breakfast menu, now available to guests throughout the day.
