2017 may not have been a positive year for growth for Noodles & Company, but the company is optimistic that it will be able to turn its luck around. According to a recent article in QSR Magazine, the brand is the first fast-casual chain to offer zucchini noodles across the nation.

This menu innovation is being fully tested before the brand puts marketing effort behind it to ensure everything is executed perfectly across the system. The brand is also shifting attention to online orders to make its products more convenient for consumers. 

“As we enter the next phase of our transformation effort, through the launch of our Zucchini noodles, further enhancements to our rewards program, off-premise capabilities and continued operational improvement," said CEO Dave Boennighausen, "I am confident that we have the right strategy, the right focus and the right team to drive sustainable comparable sales and margin growth for years to come."
