These franchises are getting in on the annual cannabis holiday with celebratory deals.

April 20, nationally known as 4/20, seems to bring with it a new set of states that have legalized recreational cannabis sales each year. With 16 U.S. states having legalized recreational selling and use of marijuana thus far, more people — and more brands — are joining the high holiday hype.
The food and restaurant industry, in particular, has embraced the weed holiday, offering 4/20 discounts and deals to serve munchie-craving 4/20 celebrators — and restaurant franchises are no exception. Here are some brands offering food deals and freebies on 4/20.
This cannabis-themed sub sandwich franchise is eager to celebrate the holiday with its customers, offering them a sub of choice and a 4/20-themed frisbee for, you guessed it, just $4.20.
Smashburger is hoping to smash the 4/20 discount game with a buy one, get one free deal available today only.
Catering specifically to college students with late-night studying munchies, this cookie franchise is releasing a decadent Cookie Nacho special for the week of 4/20.
Hoping to reach 4/20 celebrators who are staying home this year, Fatburger is offering burger discounts and free delivery to those who order through its site.
Although the brand doesn’t currently franchise, it is taking the opportunity on 4/20 to partner with the delivery/pickup platform Postmates, which will help the brand reach as many 4/20 customers as possible this year.
