Romeo’s Pizza, the award-winning, 50-plus-unit pizza franchise, is celebrating another flagship year with a whopping 37 new franchise agreements signed in total throughout 2021. Now, fresh into 2022, Romeo’s Pizza aims to have 75 open locations by the end of the year, and the brand is targeting several key development markets, including Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Texas and Colorado for franchise growth.

“As we close out 2021, we're ecstatic with the successes we've achieved looking back over the past 12 months," said CEO Ryan Rose. “We added 37 new Franchise Agreements, and we're looking forward to steady expansion in 2022.”

In total, Romeo’s Pizza has welcomed eight new franchise owners in 2021, including a recent five-unit deal, and an area representative committing to 20 units in North Carolina. Romeo’s Pizza is also appealing to existing franchise owners who want to scale to multi-unit ownership, with 12 existing owners signing new franchise agreements overall last year.

While there are several factors contributing to Romeo’s Pizza’s franchise growth in 2021, Rose says the brand’s well-positioned concept is a big advantage. In 2020 the pizza industry flourished as the COVID-19 pandemic created an increased demand for convenience and delivery, and Romeo’s Pizza smashed its previous sales record, which was already at its highest point in the brand’s 20-year history.

Now, as COVID vaccines roll out and consumers look for both on- and off-premise dining, the pizza industry is only growing in relevance, and Romeo’s Pizza is keeping pace. This year, the brand continued to experience dramatic sales growth across its franchise system.

In addition to an in-demand offering, the brand’s streamlined business model, franchisee-led leadership team and community-driven approach are some of the reasons why franchisee interest in the brand is so strong all over the world.

More than anything, Rose says the strength of the Romeo’s Pizza brand can be attributed to its community-driven culture. As Local Pizza Champions, Romeo’s strives to make a positive and measurable difference in the communities it serves, offering a signature sweet sauce and the belief that pizza brings people together. That is why the brand is adamant about making each location a pillar of its neighborhood, supporting the community both inside and outside the store.

“Over the past few years, we’ve been able to demonstrate the strength of our community-oriented business strategy,” said Rose. “In 2022, we’re excited to continue partnering with qualified franchisees in communities all across the globe as we aim to deliver sweet smiles, one slice at a time.”

The cost to open a Romeo’s Pizza franchise ranges from $190,800 to $640,500, including a $30,000 franchise fee. For more information on franchising with Romeo’s Pizza, visit https://romeospizzafranchise.com/.
