Yahoo: Romeo's Pizza on Track To Exceed 2021 Goals With 38.43% Increase in Same-Store Sales Growth Between 2019 and 2021

In a recent story on Yahoo, Romeo’s Pizza CEO Ryan Rose discussed the immense growth the pizza chain has seen in the first half of 2021. In fact, Romeo’s Pizza, a 50-plus unit food-first pizza franchise, was named one of the top 25 fastest growing restaurants by Nation’s Restaurant News. According to the article, the brand saw  “a 26.5% increase in system-wide sales in 2020 and dominated the pizza category, with competitors Marco's Pizza seeing a 24.7% increase and Papa John's seeing 19%.”

Romeo’s Pizza thrives on the idea that pizza brings people together. Over “43% of Americans eat pizza once a week,” and despite multiple businesses being forced to shut their doors during the COVID-19 pandemic, Romeo’s Pizza defeated its sales growth record by 14%, a huge accomplishment considering more than 110,000 restaurants and bars closed in 2020 according to fortune.com.
