Retaining employees requires a series of actions, from hiring to paying and training as well as recognition.
In the ten years that Colleen Mading has spent as a Saladworks franchisee, she has employees who have been with her for five to seven years.
"It is really their character I am hiring," says Mading. "I look for really nice kids, kind people. I can tell pretty well if they are kind and thoughtful people. That will translate into the customer service they will give and how they will work with their co-workers."
