In his experience, regular physical activity — about 150 minutes a week — may help people feel better and could potentially slow down the progression of symptoms. He emphasizes that even light or moderate activity, like walking or biking, can be a good starting point and that building up slowly is often the key.He also discussed how music therapy is being explored as a tool to support brain and motor function. From what he’s seen, music has the potential to help with movement, mood, and overall quality of life.Throughout the conversation, Dr. Pantelyat describes some of the symptoms he looks for when working with patients, including tremors, muscle stiffness, slow movement, and posture changes.
