Showhomes Closes Banner Year in 2019 Setting Record For Best Systemwide Revenue in Company History

After concluding the year up 32% in gross revenue, the luxury real estate service franchise is entering a new decade climbing toward the top of the $99 billion home services industry.

2019 was a year to remember for luxury real estate service franchise Showhomes, to say the very least. After a productive first half of the year that saw record-breaking figures in the months of May and June, Showhomes capitalized on that momentum and then some, closing out the decade with the highest gross revenue figures in the brand’s 30-year history.

In 2019, Showhomes’ total gross revenue increased 32% from 2018, good enough for best in brand history. In addition, the brand closed out the year with a whopping 67% year-over-year increase from December 2018.

Incredible systemwide numbers aside, several Showhomes franchisees reached some notable milestones in 2019, as well. Nancy and Robbie Jones of Showhomes Triad, North Carolina and Lisa and Chris Gulliver of Showhomes San Diego North Coast both broke through the $1 million mark in gross sales, a glass ceiling for the brand for many years, COO Matt Kelton noted.

The reason for such momentous success in 2019? Showhomes completed the years-long buildout of its core revenue streams beyond just home staging and management to include design updates and renovation. Recognizing the significance of the pivot on the luxury real estate services space as a whole, a number of franchise industry publications doled out some much-deserved recognition to the brand. Not only did Franchise Business Review induct Showhomes into its 2019 Hall of Fame class (meaning the publication has named the brand a top franchise for 10 years), but the brand was also named among 1851 Franchise’s top real estate franchises to watch in 2020 and was highlighted in a CNBC piece as one of the top low-cost franchise opportunities on the market.

“We are always investing in ways to create additional profitability for our franchise partners while reviewing ways to expand brand awareness and the Showhomes community,” Kelton said. “This year alone, we’ve taken huge strides toward both by fully embracing our repositioning as a home update and renovation provider in all corners of our franchise system and adding a number of passionate new owners to the Showhomes family. Our future is bright and we couldn’t be more excited for what 2020 has in store.”

It’s clear there’s a lot to be proud of in the rearview mirror—but even more to look forward to in the year ahead for Showhomes. With 2020 now in full swing, the brand is already pretty busy with new locations set to open in Michigan, San Diego, California’s San Fernando Valley and in Raleigh, North Carolina, just to name a few. With so many new team members on board, Showhomes is even more optimally positioned to exceed the record-breaking numbers put on the board last year. And as the brand continues thoughtfully pushing forward, a team mentality and culture of collaboration will continue to be an integral component to its systemwide success in 2020.

“We’ve established ourselves in the marketplace as an extremely lucrative, forward-facing opportunity that is as savvy and strategic as it is innovative and exciting,” Kelton said. “With a banner year in the books, we’re excited and motivated to reach new heights in 2020 with our ever-growing franchise family.”

The start-up costs for a Showhomes franchise range from $60,550 to $103,000, with an initial franchise fee of $39,900. To learn more about franchising with Showhomes, please visit https://www.showhomesfranchise.com/.
