We got to see what it’s like from morning to night,” Schryver said. “It gave me and my team a great snapshot of the business.”<h2>From Shellfish Safety to P&amp;L Savvy</h2>Food safety is non-negotiable at Shuckin’ Shack — especially when dealing with delicate products like oysters.“Each market has its own local regulations, so we make sure Franchise Partners get everything they need: health certifications, alcohol licenses, knife safety, seafood handling — all of it,” Meriam said. “We hold a very high standard when it comes to product quality and menu execution.”That attention to detail carries through to the business side. Shuckin’ Shack’s training also includes deep dives into cost control, P&amp;Ls and team management.&nbsp;“We have different training tracks for owners, managers and employees,” Meriam said. “For owners, we cover food and labor costs, standard chart of accounts, systemwide benchmarks — even things like lease negotiations and insurance.”<h2>Hands-On Help for Grand Opening Success</h2>As Franchise Partners near their launch date, the support ramps up even further.“We bring a training team of seasoned front-of-house and back-of-house staff from other locations to work alongside the new team,” Meriam said. “We also send members of our executive team — our VP of Marketing, CEO, even our co-founder. We help with orientation, training and soft opening. We want to make sure staff are confident and ready.”Schryver saw that support firsthand in the final days leading up to his opening. “They were down here with us for several days,” he said. “We got everything organized — decorations, food orders, equipment, training schedules. There wasn’t any part of the restaurant operation they weren’t involved in. Everything was centered around these final push activities to make sure we were ready.”<h2>Ongoing Coaching for Continued Growth</h2>Support doesn’t stop once the doors open.
