Sir Grout, the hard surface restoration concept under the Threshold Brands umbrella, is now targeting the Florida markets of Miami and Fort Lauderdale for expansion. And as people continue to move to the Sunshine State, driving demand for home services even further, Sir Grout franchisees will enter the market primed to win. As the brand enters the burgeoning market, it is looking for qualified, passionate franchisees who are ready to be a part of the booming home services market with five unique revenue streams under the roof of a single Sir Grout business.

“As the populations in both Miami and Fort Lauderdale continue to see growth, so will the demand for home services,” said, Kieran Scott president of Sir Grout. “With plenty of open territories, we’re excited to establish the Sir Grout presence in south Florida and drive even more brand development as well.”

The south Florida region has been seeing steady population growth after many people flocked to the area during the COVID-19 pandemic. Between 2019 and 2020, the population of Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach grew from 6.09 million to 6.13 million, a 0.64% increase. Its median household income also grew from $56,775 to $59,030 — a 3.97% increase.

On top of population growth, the home services market is projected to grow by a compound annual growth rate of over 35% from 2019 to 2026. The industry proved how essential it was during the COVID-19 pandemic when brands saw tremendous growth despite uncertainty and economic difficulties. Consumer spending in the category began growing faster than pre-pandemic levels by the end of 2020, and, in many cases, home services businesses experienced back-to-back record-breaking years.

Sir Grout is also no stranger to success in Florida, particularly in the Orlando market. In 2021, franchisee Kathryn Boyce opened Sir Grout in Orlando and has successfully grown her business to expand and bring more job opportunities and help more people in the Orlando area. She sees the growth potential of the franchise within Orlando and has already expanded the business to have three service trucks, with a fourth truck on order, and plans to buy more in the future.

As Sir Grout’s plans for continued expansion in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, the brand has identified space for 15 available territories. Prospective franchisees can expect to be well-equipped to meet the demands of the community by receiving extensive training and support from the Sir Grout support team.

The brand’s hands-on tile and grout restoration training is designed to prepare franchisees for business just 45 days after signing. Franchisees receive initial training in three phases. Phase one is done online and revolves around the skills and systems needed to run a Sir Grout business (i.e., operations, products, processes and recruitment). Phase two is done on-site and allows franchisees to learn about sales and operations as well as specific products and services. Phase three is also done on-site and focuses on stone restoration training.

Additionally, the brand provides a unique opportunity for owners to secure multiple revenue streams under a single business. Sir Grout offers grout and tile restoration, stone restoration, slip-resistant applications, and high-durability coatings, allowing franchisees to cater to various needs by marketing multiple services to a common customer base.

“We are continuing to expand our footprint in new markets, and  it’s a testament to how we’re investing in the brand to support franchisees in their growth,” said Scott. “For anyone considering ownership, now is the time to invest in Sir Grout.”

The estimated initial investment required for a Sir Grout business ranges between $121,830 and $146,710. For more information, visit https://www.sirgroutfranchise.com/.
