TechCrunch: LinkedIn is introducing auto-playing video ads
The new adds will add “sight, sound and motion” to users feeds.
A recent TechCrunch article announced that LinkedIn is introducing video advertising as one of its Sponsored Content formats. The move comes as no surprise, as many other social networks implemented this technology years ago. The change gives users the option to upload videos directly to the platform so the ads appear as standalone posts. The posts will play automatically on users feeds.
Abhishek Shrivastava, director of product for LinkedIn Marketing Solutions, says the update will bring "sight, sound and motion" to users pages. Brands can incorporate LinkedIn’s ad targeting and conversion tracking capabilities in order to collect leads through videos.
LinkedIn also introduced the option for businesses to include native video on their Company Pages so they can incorporate videos to entice new hires.
