For more than 20 years, The Cleaning Authority has continually made a positive impact on the quality of life of the homeowners it serves, the growing number of franchisees it supports and the people those franchisees employ.

Now, as the brand continues to solidify its stance as one of North America’s leading residential cleaning companies, the leadership team introduced the Hometown Market franchise offering, scaled to a level smaller than traditional territory with a lower franchise fee of $15,000. This model features the same access to the brand’s proprietary tools, technology systems, consumer marketing and lead generation resources.

To promote the Hometown Market Program, specifically in Gainesville, Florida, The Cleaning Authority will completely waive the franchise fee for a selected new franchisees.

“We’re so confident in the Hometown Market model that we’re willing to waive the franchise fee in order to find the best franchisee to bring The Cleaning Authority to Gainesville,” said Heather McLeod, director of marketing for The Cleaning Authority. “We know there are tons of aspiring entrepreneurs looking to take the next step to business ownership, but might prefer a proportionately lower investment. The Hometown Market is designed to achieve success in a smaller, tighter-knit market, only bettered by the waiving the franchise fee.”

According to McLeod, more than half of The Cleaning Authority’s current franchisees have Master’s Degrees or higher, and they generally have gained general business experience in the corporate world. So when it comes to finding the right entrepreneur to lead the charge in Gainesville, McLeod says those same attributes will still apply. McLeod did note though that it is certainly not necessary to have that higher education to be a successful franchisees with The Cleaning Authority.

“Being a franchisee with The Cleaning Authority is a perfect fit for someone who’s a graduate from the University of Florida, for example. By focusing on these kind of communities—ones with large universities—we’re better able to find someone who is connected to their community on a deep level, which is a key component of the Hometown Market model,” McLeod said. “It’s also a great opportunity for someone who’s recently out of grad school, has a young family and is ready to have a little more flexibility in his or her life. The Cleaning Authority is a rewarding option for someone seeking a better work-life balance.”

This isn’t the first time The Cleaning Authority has targeted smaller markets for growth and seen success. David Villa is currently leading the brand in Tyler, Texas—a town with nearly 100,000 residents. Within just eight months, Villa has already experienced significant growth in his area. McLeod believes this is due, in large part, to The Cleaning Authority’s model itself—they’re providing a service that people are always going to need.

“Homes will always be getting dirty—it’s a service that’s not going anywhere, so franchisees can be comfortable investing in a brand that will have a great recurring revenue stream,” McLeod added. “The Hometown Market model offers a launch pad to success – and the franchisees have the freedom to apply their savvy while leveraging support and tools they need to build upon that.”

In the future, The Cleaning Authority plans to extend the Hometown Market program throughout the country. Among many others, here are five additional territories where they’re looking to expand including Santa Fe, NM; Fort Wayne, IN; Beaumont, TX; Macon/Warner Robins, GA; and Sioux Falls, SD. But for now, the goal is simple: find the right franchisee to help The Cleaning Authority thrive in Gainesville.

“We’re really excited about the potential in Gainesville. We’ve opened in other Hometown Markets and seen those franchisees do extremely well,” McLeod said. “We’re excited to find a franchisee in Gainesville to join our system and experience just how rewarding it can be to be a part of The Cleaning Authority,” McLeod said.
