Roxanne Batson and Mary Anne Feldman own and operate the TruBlue franchise in Birmingham, Alabama. The pair recently sat down with ABC3340’s Talk of Alabama to discuss what led them to open their own TruBlue franchise.

Batson says a big contributing factor in deciding to franchise with TruBlue was that they wanted to help serve homeowners in their community, and also provide seniors with the ability to comfortably live longer in their homes, rather than live in nursing homes or assisted living facilities.

Regardless of how small the job is, Batson says the brand’s licensed and certified handymen are dedicated to giving their clients peace of mind. Whether it’s routine gutter or roof maintenance or changing a lightbulb, TruBlue is available to help.

“We’re there to fix the little things, 2-hour, 5-hour or 8-hour jobs, that’s what we do,” Batson said. “For example, my husband shouldn’t be getting up on the ladder and going into the attic, but he does it. Well, now we just call our handyman and we ask him to do it for us.”
