Many parents can relate to the dwindling nature of timeyou're raising a child, schedules are constantly rearranged and priorities never cease to shift. Fitness and nutrition often fall on the back burner, which can lead to the "dad bod"a softer physique that can lead to health problems down the line.

WORKOUT ANYTIME* fitness trainer Jesse York discussed ways to combat the "dad bod" on "Good Morning Tennessee." York urges parents to devote at least four hours a week to exercise while making a few minor diet changes that could yield significant results, like lowering sugar and carb intake.

"Get the family involved if you need to for your exercise," York said. "It's as easy as taking 10 minutes at work and 20 minutes later in the day a couple times a week."

York mentions a few exercises that anyone can squeeze in between meetings and soccer games that will help dads everywhere combat the dreaded "dad bod." Incorporating weights as light as seven-and-a-half pounds can help utilize multiple muscle groups and maximize workout efficiency.
