Why Home Clean Heroes, With Low Investment Costs And Major Growth Potential, Was The Right Brand For This Franchisee

Kristin Humphrey was able to transition from the corporate side of franchising to business ownership with the help of Home Clean Heroes.

West Houston franchisee Kristin Humphrey opened her Home Clean Heroes* unit in late March, fulfilling a longtime dream to be her own boss. She was able to accomplish her goal of business ownership by choosing to invest in one of the fastest-growing service brands. The company, which was named a Top Brand of 2021 by Franchise Journal, has relatively low investment costs, making the path to start easier for prospective owners.

Home Clean Heroes is one of the more affordable options for franchising,” Humphrey said. “If somebody is wanting to get into a first-time business, this is a lower cost of entry that can allow them that opportunity.”

The brand’s initial investment costs are listed at $76,902 to $100,851, with a franchise fee of $35,000. Owners can expect to pay an 8% royalty fee. This is significantly less expensive than most medium-scale cleaning companies in the United States, which require about $750,000 to start, Profitable Venture estimates.

In addition to the low initial costs, Humphrey said that starting a Home Clean Heroes is cost-friendly because owners do not need to spend a fortune on inventory, and labor costs in the beginning are fairly low.

“You can open with just two or four people, and train them and nail down the processes. Then it’s easier to scale from there,” she said.

And with low initial investment costs, owners have more capital left over to add locations and become a multi-unit franchisee once they have learned the ropes and set up a profitable first location. Humphrey pointed out that Home Clean Heroes being under the umbrella of the Buzz Franchise Brand allows for unique opportunities to open sibling chains as well.

“If someone wants to become a multi-unit owner or diversify their portfolio and own a couple of different concepts, there are Pool Scouts* and British Swim Schools,” said Humphrey. “They have the option once they get going to either expand and add more territories or add more concepts underneath that Buzz Franchise Brand umbrella. You can definitely do that with Home Clean Heroes.”

Humphrey also mentioned that the company makes the process of learning about the franchising opportunity and all it entails very straightforward with an informative FDD. She was connected to Home Clean Heroes through a broker, who presented a portfolio of options to her, and the cleaning business caught her attention.

"He reached out last year and it seemed like perfect timing to start the process,” Humphrey said. The thing that was appealing about HCH was how they laid it out. I thought ‘I can wrap my head around this, and I can understand how to do this’. With other concepts that we were vetting, big concerns were the costs and the overhead.”

And though her unit has only been open for a few weeks, it’s only a matter of time until she starts seeing handsome returns on her investment. HomeGuide shows the average price of home cleaning in the country to be $120 – $280 per job.

The startup costs for a Home Clean Heroes single-unit franchise ranges from $76,902 to $100,851. To learn more about franchising with Home Clean Heroes, visit http://homecleanheroesfranchise.com.
