Young Ones to Watch: Dustin Distefano, CEO of A Place At Home

Distefano has developed business insights over the nine years he has worked with A Place At Home and has curated a franchise model that has made him a prime source for franchising advice.

Omaha, Nebraska-based A Place At Home has quickly established itself as a franchising leader in the industry of personalized in-home senior care. Dustin Distefano is the brand’s CEO and is in continual contact with franchise owners to ensure the success of the entire brand, offering insights and solutions through a business model that has quickly proven its sustainability.

Distefano offered up more franchising insights in his interview with 1851 Franchise, advising up-and-comers to be patient and  adhere to some deep-rooted principles when it comes to franchise decisions.

“You’ve got to have guts. Stick to your plan, [and] reach out for advice,” he said.

Distefano added the importance of having a vision and being an executor when it comes to operating a successful franchise. “Franchisors put all this work into making manuals and procedures,” he said. “If they’ve done it — if they have built million-dollar single-unit locations — follow what they have put down.”
