Franchise veteran Chris Milisci diversifies his business with Slim Chickens

Chris Milisci and his team opened  their first two Slim Chickens locations in the fall of 2016.

Chris grew up in Texas and attended the University of Texas, graduating in 1990. He then went on to work for IHOP. He soon moved to Arizona to become a franchisee and open his own IHOP in Phoenix. Today, Chris owns 80 IHOP restaurants in nine states and is still growing. With a desire to diversify his business, Chris began looking into other franchising options.

How did you hear about Slim Chickens? Why did you choose an opportunity with this brand?
Chris has heard about Slim Chickens over the years from a variety of sources. He spoke with other franchisees and real estate professionals that have worked with the company. He was drawn to the concept and the quality of the product. Chris believes that Slim Chickens has found an opportunity in a niche that is underrepresented in the QSR industry. Slim Chickens leadership and elements of both quick serve and a fast casual establishment led Chris to choose this brand.

Do you have any expansion or development plans?
Chris and his team hope to eventually be one of the largest franchisees within the Slim Chickens system. Chris will be developing the brand in the Phoenix, AZ area and in several communities in Iowa and hope to have 20-30 locations.
