The Melting Pot, the 94-unit fondue franchise, is pursuing franchise expansion in 2023, starting with Texas. Because there are already six restaurants established in the state, brand awareness is strong, and the corporate team has a strong understanding of the unique needs and circumstances that impact Texas-based locations.

“Between our forecasting and support from AI technology, we’ve determined that five more locations can be added to the state of Texas,” explained Collin Benyo, franchise growth strategist at The Melting Pot. “Texas markets are extremely franchise-friendly. The Melting Pot franchisees get a lot of opportunity to come into Texas markets and work well because there is just so much untapped population.”

Beyno added that the franchisor is specifically targeting Dallas, southeast Houston, southern San Antonio, Lubbock and Spring, Texas.

“Not only is Texas ripe with opportunity, but we’re also carefully targeting areas that won’t impact our current franchisees,” he explained. “We’re being intelligent about positioning stores so that there’s no cannibalization to current franchisees and we’re giving our new owners the best leg up as they get into untapped markets.”

Benyo added that interest in Texas has been increasing in recent months. Because of the brand’s rich history in the state, many existing owners and restaurant regulars have noted the success of the concept, which cultivates interest in further development.

“There’s a lot of room in Texas for growth, and interest in spreading The Melting Pot to other parts of the state is growing,” he said. “We’re looking forward to continued expansion.”

As the concept continues to grow, all new construction will follow the brand’s newest prototype, dubbed The Melting Pot Evolution. This build-out incorporates more modern fixtures, emphasizes the bar and craft cocktails and will increase cohesion across The Melting Pot locations nationwide. While all locations are noting remarkable revenue growth, restaurants that have implemented the most recent model are performing nearly 20% better than non-remodeled locations, meaning new franchisees will be even better positioned for a return on their investment.

The total investment necessary to begin the operation of a Melting Pot restaurant franchise ranges from $1.3–$1.5 million. For more information on franchising with Melting Pot, visit https://www.meltingpotfranchise.com/.
