Hot Diggity Dog, Burger King to Launch Grilled Hot Dogs
There’s about to be a new menu addition at Burger King. The fast food restaurant will be adding two new grilled hot dogs to the brand’s U.S. locations menu’s later this month—the classic grilled dog and a chili cheese dog. This move will make Burger King one of the biggest seller of hot dogs in the country. Burger King partnered with Oscar Meyer to create a proprietary 100 percent beef hot dog, and the product will be “flame grilled.”


R Taco Expanding Franchise Program
Buffalo Wild Wings Inc. is growing the franchise program for the brand’s fast-casual concept R Taco. The wings brand originally invested in R Taco (previously named Rusty Taco) in 2014 with nine locations. Now with 11 locations, the brand is looking to grow in Austin, Texas; Houston; San Antonio; Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Oklahoma; St. Louis; and Des Moines, Iowa. R Taco serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as craft beers and margaritas.


Sonic Partners with Green Mountain Coffee
There’s a new addition to the Sonic Drive-In menu. The drive-in restaurant concept has announced a partnership with Keurig Green Mountain Inc., to offer Green Mountain Coffee to the brand’s all-day breakfast menu. With the launch of Green Mountain Coffee, Sonic is releasing a new Breakfast Express deal that features a Breakfast Burrito and Green Mountain Coffee or fountain drink for $3 and it’s ready in two minutes.


Taco Bell Unveils the Quesalupa
Between the halftime show, the Bronco’s win and Eli Manning’s reaction gif, Super Bowl viewers were treated to the launch of the new Quesalupa. The new Quesalupa features melted cheese between two corn tortillas, which is folded and filled with ground beef, cheese, shredded lettuce and salsa.


Smashburger Expanding Presence in the Middle East
Over the next several years Smashburger will be expanding it’s presence in the Middle East with the addition of 26 new restaurants. The brand is partnering with Pearll Investments to grow the restaurant in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates including Dubai and Doha. Smashburger plans to open between 60 and 80 new locations in 2016.
