Will Tweet for pizza
Beginning May 20, 2015, Domino’s will allow customers to order pizza via Twitter. Domino’s’ customers will have to link their Twitter to their Domino’s account and send a pizza emoji tweet to the brand. Now this won’t be just any pizza, it will be based off a set selection using the company’s Easy Order program.

Same-store sales rise in April
This April, both fast-casual and quick-service restaurants saw increases in sales. The industry saw a rise in quick-service same-store sales of 3.4 percent, while casual dining same-store sales increased by 2.5 percent. However, traffic has stalled and fell by 0.1 percent. This insight comes from the MillerPulse survey. The survey noted that while traffic was essentially flat, it marks the third straight month for traffic declines after the industry reported growth in December and January.

Jack in the Box Q2 sales best in 16 Years
During the second quarter of 2015, Jack in the Box reported a system wide same-store sales increase of 8.9 percent. This is the company’s best performance in 16 years, according Jack in the Box Inc. The fast-food brand credits price changes that helped the margins. Same-store sales increased at franchise locations by 9.4 percent and rose by 7.4 percent at company-owned units.

Cinnabon Celebrates Spring with Berry LTOs
From now until July 20, 2015, Cinnabon will be offering their new limited-time only Wild Berry Medley Topping. The Wild Berry Medley features raspberries, strawberries, blackberries and blueberries and the topping can be used on menu items like the Classic Roll, MiniBon and Center of the Roll. In addition to the Wild Berry Medley Topping, the brand will also reintroduce the popular Wild Berry Frozen Lemonade.

La Madeleine to Raise $250,000 for Children’s Hunger Fund
Dallas-based La Madeleine Country French Café announced its commitment to raise funds to provide 1 million meals to children in need through Children’s Hunger Fund. The bakery café brand aims to raise $250,000 through its “Hearts for Hope” campaign at all participating locations. Le Madeleine will be donating $1 from the sales of their heart-shaped Linzer cookies from May 1 to May 31, 2015.
