1851 Franchise reached out to April McBride to learn more about her journey in the franchise industry, the innovations she is bringing to the field and her vision for the future of franchising.

1851: Can you share a bit about your journey in the franchise industry? What initially drew you to franchising?

McBride: Our journey in franchising is just beginning. We have been small business owners for the last nine years, and it has provided our family of eight with so many opportunities that we would not have had otherwise. We love the idea of franchising because we get the opportunity to support other families in their journey.

1851: What unique approaches or innovations have you brought to your role?

McBride: Broker relations. I love meeting new people and sharing our story. And, because I believe that Preservan is a great brand for every consultant to have in their inventory, it makes my job easy!

1851: What are your aspirations within the franchise world?

McBride: At this moment, building relationships so we can continue to grow and expand Preservan.

1851: How do you see the franchise industry evolving? Are there any trends you see on the horizon?

McBride: I’m not really sure. I feel like I’m too new to franchising to know how the industry is evolving, but a trend I hope catches on is environmental-respite franchises.

1851: What advice would you give your younger self?

McBride: Focus on strengths, not weaknesses. Focus on the things I can do, not the things I cannot. And that the only obstacles in life are the ones that I create myself. Just. Keep. Swimming.
