“There are more women coming into franchising now,” Bailey said. “Franchisors need to take those women candidates seriously. A lot of them are coming out of C-level positions and have been very successful in their careers, so these are not women you can brush off lightly. Listen to their input and make them a part of the discussions that take place.”
