360° Painting Wraps Q2 With Explosive Growth, Posting 99% Increase in Sales
With 14 new signings year to date, the premiere painting franchise is on a hot streak as it enters the back-half of 2021.
At a time when Americans continue to spend more time at home and more money on home improvement projects, 360° Painting, the premier residential and commercial painting franchise, is seeing explosive growth with new franchisees getting on board.
During Q2, the brand saw sales almost double, up to 15.34 million from 7.7 million in the first quarter of 2021. As one of the most resilient and lucrative opportunities in franchising, demand for 360° Painting’s services got a major boost during the pandemic, when homeowner spending on home improvements and repairs grew to nearly $420 billion.
One of the nation’s fastest-growing residential and commercial painting franchises, 360° Painting has inked 14 new agreements so far this year, with plans to continue expanding its footprint across the country.
New 360° Painting franchisee and former Milwaukee Brewers baseball player Taylor Jungmann said growth has happened much quicker than he thought. “We’ve outdone all of our original sales goals — we were trying to be ambitious about setting goals when we started last year and scale as quickly as possible, and we’ve even exceeded those,” he said. “We were trying to shoot for around $700,000 all year, and we’ve already done over $350,000 in gross sales over just the past five months. Everyone told me it would start quickly, but I didn't believe it.”
The flagship brand of its parent company Premium Service Brands, which also includes home services franchises Handyman Pro, Maid Right, ProLift Garage Doors*, Renew Crew, Kitchen Wise and the recently acquired Rubbish Works, 360° Painting differentiates itself by offering quality products and service.
“Our secret comes down to three crucial elements: premium paints, a professional painting process and a customer-first approach to painting services,” said Paul Flick, President and CEO of Premium Service Brands. “All of these things go hand-in-hand to deliver a high-quality customer experience that will result in long-term community relationships and repeat business for franchisees.”
Founded in 2005, 360° Painting began franchising the following year and currently has more than 140 units across the United States. In addition to both interior and exterior commercial and residential painting, 360° Painting offers deck painting and staining, fence painting and staining, concrete staining and drywall repair.
Partnering with major suppliers such as Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams, customers can choose from a wide range of water and oil-based paints selected specifically by the brand for their performance, resilience and workability. 360° Painting also offers customers a number of finish options, including glossy, matte and satin.
The brand’s proven 360° Painting Process ensures that customers are satisfied at every stage of the painting project, starting with a free consultation with advice on the types of paint to use. Once a customer is on board, an onsite supervisor conducts a preliminary walk-through with the customer to ensure the crew delivers exactly the results that the customer wants.
The brand also has a thorough process to prepare rooms for painting, moving furniture away from walls and covering pieces and flooring with drop cloths and plastic. Crew members also work closely with customers to remove pictures, wall hangings and other treasured and delicate items from the room while securing any valuables that cannot be physically moved from their spots.
Preparation also includes making sure walls have optimal surfaces for paint adhesion by removing electrical faceplates, sanding where necessary and filling nail holes. With customer approval, 360° Painting can even offer minor repairs when necessary to further ensure a job well done.
Once a job is completed, 360° Painting crews remove all tools and equipment and sweep, vacuum and scrub away all traces of labor. Then the crew does a final inspection followed by a walk-through with the client to thoroughly evaluate the finished job and make sure the customer is thrilled with the result.
“Painting a person’s home is not just about changing the wall colors,” Flick said. “Preparation is key at 360° Painting. Not only does it ensure a beautiful finished job that will last for years, it’s what keeps customers coming back.”
Since its inception, 360° Painting has received major industry recognition. In 2020, the brand made Entrepreneur magazine’s 40th Annual Franchise 500 list for the third year in a row, ranking No. 1 in the painting category for the third consecutive year. 360° Painting has also placed on Franchise Times’ Top 200 list, which recognizes brands for their growth.
“We’re proud of 360° Painting’s incredible growth so far this year,” added Flick. “Our very first brand at Premium Service Brands, 360° Painting was a perfect fit for us, both because of the premium service it offers to customers and the game-changing opportunity it represents for its franchise partners.”
The startup costs for a 360° Painting franchise range from $103,850 to $147,500. The franchise fee is $65,000. To learn more about franchising with 360° Painting, visit https://www.premiumservicebrands.com/360-painting/.
