Since first opening its doors in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, in 1997, Eggs Up Grill has been a place where families, friends and neighbors can gather to enjoy a meal with their community. The brand has built its reputation by creating a strong connection to the local communities it serves through genuine hospitality and its concept of “neighbors serving neighbors.”

As restaurants across the country have been asked to close their doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Eggs Up Grill has adapted to continue providing comfort to its guests at a distance, by offering delivery, take out, online ordering and curbside pickup across its locations. The company has expedited online ordering and third-party delivery across the system and holds daily forums to share best practices from local owners in their communities.

The brand has rolled out Family Breakfast Bundles, which are intended to provide guests with a worry-free meal option to feed a family of four, featuring the brand’s signature home-style cooking in a convenient take-out package. In addition, several of the brand’s locations are offering family-sized portions of other favorite entrees, including pancakes, shrimp and grits, home fry bowls and build-your-own biscuits.

The brand’s leadership team has redoubled its commitment to the success of its franchise partners, executing a strategy that assists franchise owners with marketing, financial and operational support to sustain their businesses

Additionally, Eggs Up Grill is providing direct financial relief to its franchise owners, negotiating price concessions from vendors, sharing guidance for lease and rent negotiations and preparing owners for how they can best support their teams.

“We are doing everything that we can to ensure our franchise owners are able to provide their guests with convenient options to get the food they have come to know and love during this time,” said CEO Ricky Richardson. “We’ve assisted our franchise partners as they’ve pursed financial relief through the multiple government support programs.  We understand that these are unprecedented times and have made it our top priority to find ways to support our franchise owners so that they can continue serving their communities in the safest way possible.”

Many Eggs Up Grill franchise owners have also found ways to give back to the communities they serve by donating meals to children due to school closures, utilizing their stores for grocery offerings and serving meals to community organizations, health professionals and first responders.

In Albany, Ga., franchise partner Michael McNeal has partnered with organizations to help provide thousands of meals to health workers at the local hospital.  Albany is one of the hardest hit areas in the country.

“The donated meals not only provided a way for me to remain open, but also allowed me to serve these workers on the frontline of this crisis,” said McNeal.  “Albany has been through tornadoes, hurricanes and now this virus. We have always come out stronger and better.”

Debi Brannon, franchise partner at Eggs Up Grill in Powdersville, SC, has seen that same community support during this outbreak.  Shortly after having to close her dining room due to state restrictions, she reached out to the community on Facebook offering to provide biscuits to health care workers at her cost.  Her neighbors rallied, donating enough money to help feed hundreds of people at several local hospitals.

“Our #1 job at Eggs Up Grill is to put a smile on the face of our guest,” said Brannon.  “It’s humbling to be able to put a smile on the faces of these men and women who are working so hard to help others during this time. They told us that even this small thing lifts their spirits and helps them to feel appreciated, and we are going to keep spreading that joy!”

The leadership team is working tirelessly to ensure that restaurants are able to relaunch stronger and better by refining promotional platforms, takeout and catering programs, to-go packaging, menu offerings and even adapting restaurant design to enable franchise partners to grow revenue quickly once the crisis passes.

“While the situation at hand has been disruptive in many ways, it has also allowed us to work more closely than ever before,” said Richardson. “We know that we will come out of this better and stronger and we look forward to again being the gathering place for our communities.  We can’t wait to welcome our guests by name back into our restaurants, serve them with a smile and prepare their favorite dish for them.”

The startup costs for an Eggs Up Grill franchise range from $462,330 to $653,680. The franchise fee is $39,000. To learn more about franchising with Eggs Up Grill, visit https://www.eggsupgrill.com/franchise/.
