Bo Jackson is building a foodservice and retail empire with Bo Jackson’s Signature Foods which includes Bo Jackson’s 34 Beef Line, Bo’s Burgers and Bo’s Premium Seafood. However, Jackson isn’t just the face of the company. For him, it’s very important to be heavily involved in the selection, marketing and networking - and even cooking - tied to the product.

In the ninth part of Jackson’s exclusive 10-part interview series with 1851 Franchise, Jackson noted that he personally cooks his products for new business prospects which continually surprises people.

“People know me which is nice. But it doesn’t matter to me if they know me or not - sometimes I like it most when they don’t. Because that means that I don’t have to talk about my old job or what I used to do. I’m in the food business now. If talking about sports and reminiscing about sports is going to get my products on your shelves or in your restaurant on your menu, then let’s talk about sports,” Jackson told 1851. “But at the end of the day, the only thing I care about - like every restaurant owner, every supermarket meat guy or the supermarket general manager, the only thing that matters at the end of the day is that we’re putting a good, quality product out there for the end user.”
