Kapllani is the daughter of two distinguished Albanian musicians, and has spent her whole life playing different instruments including the piano.&nbsp;In 1999, Kapllani came to the U.S. for college and studied music at the University of Illinois. During her time in the states, she met her now husband and settled down in Staten Island, New York. In 2003, she opened the <a href="https://1851franchise.com/deamusicandart/executive">DEA Music &amp; Art</a> studio in Staten Island, naming it after her parents' school in Albania. She had eight students at first, now, she has more than 500."Music was it. That was our life.
