1851 Franchise: What void does your brand fill? What inspired you to start?Darrin Blume: <a href="https://primewave.org/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=executive-qa-primewave-medical-group-2714216" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">PrimeWave Medical Group</a> started with the idea to import technology from Europe that sought to correct the problems causing erectile dysfunction (ED) by using acoustic waves to open up blood vessels and allow blood to flow more freely and strongly. We were all a little skeptical of the technology at first — it is hard to imagine that sound waves are going to fix all of your problems — but the more we researched the technology, the more we found double-blind studies that showed acoustic wave therapy’s effectiveness in treating erectile dysfunction.&nbsp;We opened up the first PrimeWave clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona in March of 2018. After a month, we started to see some amazing results with patients. The problems that they’d suffered from for years were turning around. These men were getting their sexual function back without having to take pills. As soon as we saw results, we opened up a second clinic in Las Vegas in May.&nbsp;Now, after a few solid years of profit, we have decided to start franchising the PrimeWave concept at the end of the year. Most of the men that come to us have tried everything — pills, needle injections, supplements — and they still have a problem with erectile dysfunction. Instead of trying to rip-off customers, Primwave’s goal is to educate customers on what causes erectile dysfunction and why our particular treatment of acoustic wave therapy is the most effective, natural and safe way to treat it.&nbsp;In addition, PrimeWave sets itself apart as an incredibly attractive business opportunity. Most clinics are successful after the first month thanks to low overhead and startup costs, full-time operational support, monthly webinar training, minimal labor costs, multiple revenue streams and access to an expert medical marketing firm. We also encourage franchisees to occupy predicting medical space to reduce the cost of build-out.&nbsp;1851: What are your growth goals? What is the vision you want your brand to fulfill?Blume: We would like to open up 30–50 PrimeWave clinics within the top 50 markets of the U.S.As we service more clients, we are learning that PrimeWave’s technology is effective for a number of ailments, like carpal tunnel, orthopedic pain and more. When it comes to the long-term vision of the brand, we are currently expanding our business model to focus on these treatments as well as ED. Our overall goal is to become the premier practitioner of acoustic wave therapy in all of the U.S. In addition, we want to be the nation’s leading men’s health clinic — when men have these problems, we want to be the first place they go.&nbsp;1851: What does an ideal PrimeWave franchisee look like?&nbsp;Blume: This franchise concept is designed for absentee owners — PrimeWave franchisees can easily set up an infrastructure and run the business without a day-to-day presence.
