MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes has been named a 2021 finalist in the Excellence in Food & Safety Awards and detailed what makes its food safety strategy so effective.
According to a recent article by Fast Casual, MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes is earning acclaim for its commitment to food safety. The “better burger” concept was recently named a finalist for the 2021 Excellence in Food & Safety Awards.
In the interview, MOOYAH Vice President of Operations and Development Mike Sebazco detailed the brand’s partnership with Steritech, a consulting firm that conducts third-party food safety inspections of every MOOYAH location. MOOYAH also employed Steritech to conduct COVID-19 safety checks after the start of the pandemic.
The brand’s commitment to food safety is being recognized and is reflected in its ratings. In its most recent Steritech food safety rating, MOOYAH improved by a full point, from 7.2 to 6.2, on a scale where being below 9 is considered an impressive achievement.
