How did you first get involved with the franchising industry?

I was introduced to the restaurant industry through my work in the nonprofit partnerships space. I was fascinated by the powerful and positive impact franchisee can have on the communities they operate.

What do you wish you could change in franchising?

Enhanced transparency for franchisees and franchisors.

What's the biggest change you've seen in the industry since you started out in franchise development?  

The growth in the fast casual segment. The category expansion of QSR brands.

What makes a great franchisee?

Passion for their brand, restaurant guest, store teams and operational excellence.

What's the number one thing that sells franchises?

Store level economics and a passion for the brand
