Hounds Town USA, the 30-plus-unit doggy daycare franchise in 14 states, has seen rapid growth on the development front. To keep up with the growing demand for the brand’s unique and rewarding business model, Hounds Town USA has also grown its corporate team.

The franchise recently hired two new members in leadership roles to support the scaling brand:  Amanda Moore, senior director of marketing, and Nicole Holland, director of training.

Moore is a marketing and branding expert who lives in Denver, Colorado, and has an Australian Shepherd and a Border Collie mix she calls her “babies.” She has worked in marketing and franchising for many years, most recently in the pet space at Wag N' Wash, and joined Hounds Town in early September.

Holland, from Durham, North Carolina, came to Hounds Town about three months ago from another franchise company. She has a plethora of experience training franchisees and helping them get their businesses off the ground.

Both women ended up at Hounds Town after receiving referrals from people in their network and hearing about the brand's great opportunities and work environment. At Wag N’ Wash, Moore previously worked with Hounds Town President Rob Flanagan and VP of Operations Abe Dunaway.

“They had been telling me about how awesome the culture was at Hounds Town, and I thought it sounded like somewhere I wanted to be. I love dogs, so I was excited to get into the pet industry,” Holland explained. “It’s been awesome. Everyone is so great to work with; it's very much a team. I feel like I've known everybody else for a long time just because everyone's so friendly and welcoming.”

For Moore, she was sold on the culture when she knew the brand’s motto of “We do it for the dogs” would mean she was “among like-minded people.”

The women have been hard at work getting integrated into their positions, planning strategies and coming up with goals for what they want to achieve in both the long and short term at Hounds Town USA.

“I see a lot of growth opportunity for the brand,” said Moore. “With that, new marketing strategies come into play, and that’s where I come in. It was kind of a perfect fit for me because I'm more of a ‘build it from the ground up’ kind of person; that's where I have the most fun and where I really thrive.”

Holland is excited to work with the emerging brand, helping transition training efforts to be rolled out on a larger scale as Hounds Town grows. She has been brushing up on materials and fine-tuning the design and delivery to create a sort of “digital university for franchisees.”

“I'm diving in to figure out how we can handle 100 more locations in a shorter amount of time. We're looking at all the phases of training, making new materials and exploring options for digital training and a learning management system,” Holland said.

The franchise is thrilled to have these two talented women join the brand’s leadership efforts.

“The staff at Hounds Town USA is delighted at the addition of Amanda and Nicole to our corporate team,” said CEO Jackie Bondanza. “They are extremely talented and knowledgeable and will be a great asset for the brand as we look to create a greater network of support as the franchise grows.”
