As a leader, your goal in establishing a sense of urgency should be similar to Goldilocks's: Aim for just right!

Motivation and discipline are predicated on having a healthy sense of urgency, which is the idea that something must be acted upon or communicated promptly, and often repeatedly.

The key word there is 'healthy'. If you create a level of urgency that is too high or too low, this will have negative implications on your team and as a result, your ability to lead.
