Joshua Tree Experts, the Pennsylvania-based service brand known for its reliable Tree Care Maintenance, Plant Health Care, Lawn Care & Pest Control, is on the cusp of major expansion. In addition to careful budget allocation, website development and connections with brokerage networks, the brand has partnered with Franchise FastLane for franchise development.

Franchise FastLane offers a one-to-one franchise development solution covering everything from candidate recruitment to managing the development process and consulting on the franchise agreement. A proprietary software platform allows consultants from FastLane’s extensive broker networks to send leads, candidate information and other data electronically. The platform also houses one-click profiles on each of Franchise FastLane’s partner brands, so consultants are empowered with the information they need to match prospective candidates with a business opportunity that fits their needs.

In a service called CarPool, Franchise FastLane allows the franchisor to have their own franchise development manager that provides support on the backend such as coaching, administrative services, technology and sales processes. At Joshua Tree ExpertsDylan DeGroat serves as franchise development manager and will play a key role in the partnership.

“This is a really big launch for us in 2023,” said Joshua Malik, CEO and Founder of Joshua Tree Experts. “Franchise FastLane is very much recognized as one of the best sales organizations within the franchise development arena, and we couldn’t be more excited to get started on this partnership.”

For the next two years, Joshua Tree Experts will be in Franchise FastLane’s CarPool program, during which it is aiming to sell 35 units. In the following years, the brand plans to launch into FastLane and sell about 60 units a year. When in FastLane, brands are provided with a development manager that is employed to work on selling franchises and represent the brand through the process. “We're doing this baby-step crawl so we can run and take off in two years,” Malik said.

Joshua Tree Experts is also focusing on enhancing its online presence and nurturing relations through franchise conferences, with plans to attend anywhere from eight to 12. The brand is also looking forward to continued growth at its corporate unit, Malik noted.

“We have a corporate location that we launched two years ago, with last year being its first full year, and we are trying to turn that into a franchise system,” he said. “And it's already seeing growth and has intellectual property with clients. It also has a full set of workers there already and branded equipment up and running. We are looking to flip that right away and really just to have growth at the corporate unit. About 12% is what we're targeting.”

For customers and franchisees alike, Joshua Tree Experts differentiates itself through its unique offerings. With certified arborists and experienced plant health care and pest management professionals on the corporate team, the concept has built out a training and support system that allows franchisees to provide unparalleled knowledge to their customers.

Additionally, the opportunity to offer multiple services under one roof and brand makes Joshua Tree Experts an attractive investment, as franchisees can quickly diversify their revenue streams after mastering the primary service of tree care. And, due to the high demand that currently exists within the tree care industry, new franchise owners are well-positioned to bring in a loyal customer base and establish recurring revenue streams that can both recoup the initial investment and drive growth.

Malik notes that early adopters of the brand will play a crucial role in driving sales and awareness. An ideal franchisee is an entrepreneur with a corporate mind and a willingness to work in partnership with the team, embracing the family-type culture the brand has built.

“We've been in the franchise space for about a year now and our focus is on sales this year,” said Malik. “We really see 2023 as our year and we believe with this partnership that we have with Franchise FastLane is really going to put us in a position for success.”
