Newsday: Checkers Plans to Open 12 Locations in Long Island

In the next five years, the fast food chain would like to open up to a dozen locations in Long Island.

Checkers* is looking to expand further into the Long Island market due to the current growth and success of the brand in the area. Atul Gupta owns two thriving Checkers locations currently in Elmont and Westbury and has contributed to the area's success. In effect, he won the Market Turnaround Award at this year's Checkers & Rally's awards ceremony.
