A new Penn Station restaurant may be coming to your neighborhood.

According to an <a href="http://triblive.com/local/regional/13546664-74/penn-station-restaurants-expanding?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=pittsburgh-tribune-review-penn-station-restaurants-expanding-2706389" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">article in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review</a>, the Cincinnati-based franchise brand has announced an aggressive development strategy that aims to triple the number of franchise units in the Greater Pittsburgh area within the next three years.

The first Penn Station restaurant in Pittsburgh opened in Shadyside in 2007. Since then, five more locations have been opened by two franchisees in territories across the city. The new development plans would see another 12 open by 2021.

According to Penn Station Director of Development and Franchising Gregg Goddard, territories for development include the Westmoreland County neighborhoods of New Kensington, Greensburg, Jeannette and Delmont.

&ldquo;The people of Pittsburgh have responded very favorably to our stores,&rdquo; said Goddard. &ldquo;We know that the demand is there to support more.&rdquo;

Goddard says the expansion efforts would create an estimated 240 new jobs and represent a $5 million investment in the Greater Pittsburgh area.
