A recent&nbsp;<a href="https://www.qsrmagazine.com/technology/virtual-reality-your-restaurants-next-favorite-tool?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=qsr-magazine-virtual-reality-your-restaurants-next-favorite-tool-2706320" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">QSR&nbsp;Magazine article</a>&nbsp;highlights how food service pros are utilizing&nbsp;new technology&nbsp;to create real-time virtual experiences for both customers and employees.&nbsp;

The article detailed&nbsp;Honeygrow&#39;s&nbsp;use of virtual reality (VR) to&nbsp;take new hires on a journey through their five &quot;engine points,&quot; which range from food safety to customer service.&nbsp;

&ldquo;We feel people will retain information much better if they&rsquo;re able to engage and interact in a meaningful way,&rdquo; shared Chief Brand Officer Jen Denis. &ldquo;This generation has grown up with video, gaming, and technology. More and more, we learn by doing rather than reading.&rdquo;

<a href="http://www.kfcfranchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=qsr-magazine-virtual-reality-your-restaurants-next-favorite-tool-2706320" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">KFC</a>&nbsp;embraced the new technology, too, rolling out an escape room VR experience, which was used as a training tool to take employees and franchisees through the chicken-frying process.&nbsp;

&ldquo;We shared just how meticulous the colonel was about his chicken, and so the idea of a secret training kitchen where the colonel wouldn&#39;t let you leave until you made his chicken the right way&mdash;the hard way&mdash;quickly rose to the top,&rdquo; said Director&nbsp;of Advertising George Felix.

With other food service&nbsp;giants like&nbsp;Patr&oacute;n&nbsp;tequila&nbsp;and Starbucks jumping on board, it&#39;s time for franchises to embrace&nbsp;new technologies and see how they can enhance their brand.&nbsp;
