Orlando&#8217;s newest franchisee is looking to blend his passion for health and fitness with a new business opportunity. Barry Edwards of New Orleans-based Gold Sky LLC and&nbsp;his business partner, Christi Dornier, have signed an agreement with the Louisiana-based <a href="http://www.smoothiekingfranchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=orlando-business-journal-highlights-smoothie-king-expansion-in-fl-1544" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Smoothie King</a> to open five new franchise stores in the greater Orlando area. Edwards will open his first store in June in a 900-square-foot space at 2254 Aloma Ave. in Winter Park. His goal is to open all five stores in the next three years, including the first two this year, and potentially five more after that. Although he hasn&#8217;t signed a lease for his second location just yet, Edwards said it will be either in Casselberry or Winter Park. Other submarkets he&#8217;s interested in include Lake Mary, Maitland, downtown Orlando and Altamonte Springs. &#8220;My passion and love for health and fitness is a big part of what I do, and I&#8217;ve been blessed with having a lot of great success in that industry.
