Spartanburg Herald Journal: Smoothie King Announces Plans to Open First Location in Spartanburg, South Carolina
Smoothie King and its menu of drinks for healthy-minded people on the go will open its first Spartanburg store on Thursday.
Smoothie King is known for its fitness blends such as The Activator, Gladiator and the Hulk; wellness blends such as Blueberry Heaven and Green Tea Tango; and take-a-break blends such as Caribbean Way and Fruit Fusion.
“This is our flagship store,” said franchisee Derek Bullard. “It’s a great location and the traffic count is high.”
Bullard, his wife, LaVondria, and son Nick will operate the Spartanburg store along with a staff of 15 employees. They’ve been busy putting the final touches on the walk-in store that also will feature drive-thru service.
A VIP soft-opening party will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at which free small Smoothies will be given away. The store will open to the public at 7 a.m. Thursday.
It will be open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
