With nearly 1,800 locations across the U.S. and Canada, Sport Clips* Haircuts has solidified its position as one of the fastest growing franchises in North America. The brand has also been recognized as a leader in the men’s and boys’ hair care industries since its founding in 1993.  Now, with 25 years of experience built into its proven franchise system, Sport Clips is building on its momentum by targeting key markets for development. At the top of that list is Buffalo, New York.

“The Buffalo area is a well-positioned growth market for Sport Clips — we’ve proven that with the one location that’s already up and running in the area. However, we consider Buffalo to be underserved right now, which is why we’re planning to open another eight to 10 stores there,” said Jim Atkinson, senior director of franchise development for Sport Clips. “Unlike most of our remaining developing markets, there aren’t any other licenses in development in Buffalo. That means franchisees who sign on to develop the market will have their first choice when it comes to available, high-quality real estate, which is an opportunity that doesn’t come around often for an established national brand.”

In addition to receiving outstanding support and positioning when it comes to real estate selection, franchisees — or Team Leaders — in the Buffalo area will also gain access to Sport Clips’ unique and proven franchise system. The brand’s business investment opportunity is designed with franchisee preferences in mind. Sport Clips offers an owner/investor or semi-absentee model, enabling franchisees to own the business while an experienced manager oversees day-to-day operations and employees.

Sport Clips also gives its franchisees access to both initial and ongoing support as they set out to become successful in the $75 billion salon and hair care industry. The brand’s turnkey business model is designed to be easily replicable by its franchisees. Sport Clips’ development and training teams also work closely with local owners as they work through the real estate, construction and grand opening processes, including ongoing marketing support.

As Sport Clips looks to further establish its presence in the Northeastern United States — specifically in Buffalo — the brand is eager to partner with aspiring business owners with experience in business management, marketing and finance. Sport Clips’ Team Leaders need to lead by example, establish and build a strong team culture, and adhere to the brand’s core values. Success in those pieces of the business help solidify Sport Clips’ commitment to providing top tier customer service.  Sport Clips is ranked by Forbes as the top Medium Investment “Best Franchise to Buy” in the 2018 edition of the highly regarded ranking.

“We’re confident that Sport Clips will continue to take off in Buffalo. When our history of smart growth and championship experiences is combined with a business owner’s passion for the brand and desire to succeed, our potential for success is limitless,” said Atkinson.  “We’re eager to begin working with well-qualified franchisees in the Buffalo market and can’t wait to introduce even more clients to the Sport Clips brand.”
