Students in Montgomery participated in <a href="http://franchise.sylvanlearning.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=montgomery-advertiser-sylvan-learning-helps-students-engage-in-stem-education-7128" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Sylvan Learning&#39;s</a> Grand STEM Challenge this week. The program is educational, but teamwork-oriented and fun for students of all ages.&nbsp; 
 
&quot;The kids don&#39;t even realize that they&#39;re learning,&quot; Sylvan Learning Education Director, Misty Mitchell told the Montgomery Advertiser. &quot;This keeps their minds working. So many activities during the summer don&#39;t take much brain activity, but this actually pushes them to challenge themselves and learn from each other.&quot; 
 
During the program, students were split into teams and worked together using K&#39;nex toys to find a solution to a real world problem&mdash;which was, in this case, creating a crash-proof vehicle that can transport an egg. The program allows students to exercise creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
