Nearly 20 years ago, Rebecca Johnson started her career with Sylvan Learning Centers. After years of commitment to the system Johnson saved up enough money to buy into the brand, and has now changed her title to owner -- as the franchise owner of two locations (Cumberland and Coventry, RI).“This is such a success story for both the retiring owner and the new Sylvan franchisee,” said Georgia Chasen, Sylvan Learning Vice President of Franchise Development. “Imagine being able to mentor the person taking over the business you’ve built over 20 years!
