Top Women in Franchising: Gabby Wong, FranConnect CEO

With over two decades of experience, Wong brings her passion for technology and business development to the FranConnect leadership team.

Gabby Wong, who has been CEO of FranConnect for nearly four years, brings a remarkable bank of experience to her role.

“I’ve spent the better part of my 25-year career focusing on the nexus between business transformation and leveraging enterprise-class technology to solve complex business problems,” she said in an interview. “Through my work in management consulting, I discovered a passion for innovation and enterprise technology, which led me to the world of private equity-backed software and high-growth technology companies.”

This interest has translated well to FranConnect. Prior to her current role, Wong served as EVP of Customer Operations for over two years and President for about eight months. Stepping into her CEO role, Wong is leading the way as the cloud-based concept works to support franchise growth everywhere.

FranConnect provides technology products and solutions that empower franchises to add units, increase revenues and hone unit-level economics.

“Our view is that franchise brands can’t grow unless the units themselves grow,” she explained. “It’s an ecosystem where successful brands don’t only focus on unit count growth, but unit-level performance and optimization, in order to scale the system.”

FranConnect also supports a stronger relationship and continued dialogue between franchisor and franchisee, a crucial aspect of continued, healthy growth.

In recognition of her hard work and ability to “think big to succeed,” Wong was named an Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2022 Mid-Atlantic Award finalist.
