TruBlue Franchisee’s Recommendations for a Safe Home in 2023
TruBlue Franchisee Jason Kear has a list of simple features you can add to your home to keep your family safe.

TruBlue, the 80-unit home maintenance franchise, expanded into Tennessee last year, after signing local engineer Jason Kear on as one of the brand’s latest franchisees.
Kear opened his TruBlue location in West Knoxville in March 2022 and recently spoke to WVLT, where he discussed what led him to become a franchisee of the handyman service provider. Since their launch, Kear says he’s put a huge priority on fall prevention, because his mother-in-law tragically took a fall while staying with him, and he believes it should have been avoided.
In order to help others avoid sharing his experience, Kear curated a list of simple and quick things you can do to prevent something like this from occurring. He recommends keeping bathrooms decluttered, keeping cords out of walkways, maintaining good lighting and installing tub doors and grab bars for seniors to have easy access to restroom facilities. He also says it’s important to frequently check things like smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and carbon monoxide detectors to make sure your family is staying safe.
Kear’s TruBlue location serves areas like West Knoxville, Farragut, Bearden, Hardin Valley, Karns, Cedar Bluff, Rocky Hill and more. TruBlue falls under the umbrella of the franchise development group Strategic Franchising Systems.
